The Making of a Model
God gave me the body, but I had to buy the face!

Since I was born on Halloween and turned 30 this year I thought it would be fun for me to finally let you see as I have said before that my body may be genetic but my face is store bought. I get so many inquiries of what I used to look like, so I'll let you see the magic of plastic surgery. Plus a special feature of what I had to go through in the process afterwards. $17,500 later, and 2 years of a swollen face, I Thom Collins am giving a new meaning to the word CHIP 'N DALE. I do not recommend or condemn plastic surgery--that is a personal choice. I had my reasons, one being that as a kid I had a large nose. I wanted to fix this, but as a drag queen once told me, if you do this you will never stop. She was right. I went overboard trying to fit the perfect image of what I considered to be a male model: high cheekbones, chin, nose, teeth, lips, etc. I was lucky and am happy with the results. However, I have learned that beauty is in the eye of the beholder and is only skin deep. My soul is far more attractive. You may ask, if I could go back and have my old face would I do it. HELL NO!!!!!! I could have done without being a recluse for 2 years as the swelling went down but overall my self esteem and self image improved. So, lets go on a journey of what I use to look like...
